Prices for Avatar cars in Morocco start from 499,000 Moroccan dirhams for the Avatar 07 model, while the price of the Avatar 11 starts from 699,000 Moroccan dirhams, and the price of the Avatar 12 starts from 749,000 Moroccan dirhams.
During the event in Morocco, Avatar unveiled its first locally produced collection, which includes Avatar 07, Avatar 11, and Avatar 12, adding Morocco to its markets as part of its expansion plans in the Middle East and Africa.
Avatar chose to offer a mix of propulsion technologies within its lineup for the Moroccan market; the Avatar 07 uses the REEV extended-range system, while the Avatar 11 and Avatar 12 come with a fully electric propulsion system.
The three cars vary in category and use, with the Avatar 07 falling within the category of mid-size luxury SUVs, while the Avatar 11 is offered as a luxury electric SUV.
The Avatar 12 adopts a design with large grand coupe features, with models equipped with a range of connectivity technologies, smart systems, and driving assistance features.
Avatar has appointed Global Luxury Motors (GLM) as the exclusive agent for the brand in Morocco, to handle marketing, sales, delivery and after-sales services.
Ziad Harrach, General Manager of Global, the exclusive agent for Avatar in Morocco, stated that the brand's entry into the Moroccan market comes within the company's direction to keep pace with market development and customer needs, with a focus on improving the ownership experience and developing the level of services provided.
Avatar hopes to carve out a niche for itself in the Moroccan market, which is witnessing a growing presence of electric and hybrid cars, with competition from several brands that already offer several electric models in different categories.
The Chinese brand is betting on combining design, smart technologies, electric drive options, and REEVs to attract customers, especially with its entry with three cars covering SUV and Grand Coupe categories.
